PROBATE
Probate is the legal process your loved one’s assets must go through if they pass away without a trust. The Superior Court will supervise the distribution of your loved one’s assets and an executor and attorney will need to represent your loved one’s assets, or their probate estate, during this process.
TRUST ADMINISTRATION
Trust Administration is the process a Trust must go through when one or both of its’ creators pass away. The creators have nominated a Successor Trustee to take over the management of their trust when they pass away. This Successor Trustee will need help in making sure the trust assets are managed in accordance with the trust terms and the appropriate laws.

About Elizabeth Button
A graduate of University of California, Berkeley and the University of San Francisco, School of Law. After being admitted to the California State Bar, Elizabeth worked as a Law Clerk in the San Mateo Probate Court. She followed that experience by working as a Law Clerk on the law and motion calendar in the San Francisco Probate Court. She reported directly to three honorable Bay Area Judges. Through her experience in the courts, she was able to build her practice as an estate and trust attorney. Her practice focuses on estate planning, probates and trust administrations.
Elizabeth grew up in the Bay Area and is currently residing in San Francisco. In her free time she volunteers as the governance member of the board of directors for Junior League San Francisco and is also Co- Chair of the Estate Planning Section of the San Francisco Bar Association Barristers Section.
